THE RESPITORY SYSTEM

DEFINITION OF THE RESPITORY SYSTEM

  • A system of organs functioning in respitory and in humans consisting especially of the nose, nasal passages pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs.

HOW THE REPITORY SYSTEM WORKS

  • THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM DOES THIS THROUGH BREATHING. WHEN WE BREATHE, WE INHALE OXYGEN AND EXHALE CARBON DIOXIDE. THIS EXCHANGE OF GASES IS THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM'S MEANS OF GETTING OXYGEN TO THE BLOOD. RESPIRATION IS ACHIEVED

WHY THE REPITOY SYSTEM IS IMPORTANT

IF YOU DID NOT HAVE THE RESPITORY SYSTEM YOU COULD'INT BREATH

FACTS

  • You breathe faster than you run than when you rest
  • The left lung is slightly smaller than the right lung. This allows space for the heart
  • Your pharynx is behind your mouth
