1769-1789
Napolean Bonaparte is born in 1769, on the island of corsica
Napolean, at the age of 9, was sent to a military school by his parents
In 1785 Napolean finished school at 16. He was a lieutenant in the artillery
In 1789 the people of Saint Domingue demanded the same rights as the people of france

1795-96
While rebels marched on the national convention, Napoleon was told to guard the delegates
Napolean caused the rebels to flee in confusion, he was considered a hero
The directory made napolean the leader of an entire army that went against Austria
Louis XVII dies in prison

1799-1802
The Directory lost the confidence of the French people
Napoleon returned from Egypt and was urged by his friends to take power
Russia, Austria, and Britain wanted to take power away from Napoleon
After napoleon was relieved of power Europe was at peace for the first time in a decade
A vote for a new constitution took place

1804-1808
In 1804 Napoleon decided to make himself emperor of france
In 1805 the battle of Austerlitz takes place
In November of 1806 Napoleon enacted a blockade
1807 France becomes an empire
In 1808 Napoleon sent an invasion army to Portugal throught Spain, this was a fatal mistake

In 1812 the french empire collapses
In 1812 the united states congress declared war on britain
In 1812 Napoleon marched his army to Russia
On September 7, 1812 the armies of Russia and Napoleon fought for hours until Russia fell back
Napoleon got to Moscow just to find embers and ruins

1813-1815
October 1813 Napoleon and the allied European armies outside of Leipzig, Germany
In January 1814 the allied armies where pushed back towards Paris
In April of the same year Napoleon gave up his throne after being denied to fight more by his generals
In March of 1815 Napoleon wanted to gain back the throne
On June 18, 1815 Napoleon fought against a defending British army. The British where defending the city of Waterloo
