What are maps and what can they tell us.

Maps are tools we use to show physical features of spacial scales. The size of the scales can vary, it can be a map of a town, or a map of a continent. They teach us how people saw the world in the past and teach us how other people see the world today. There are many different kinds of maps and they vary on subjects. Physical, political and many more.

How historical accounts and events differ.
Historical
events are told by the secondary source , while accounts are told from primary sources . For example Rome told their victories as glorious victories , while soldier there would say the battles were horrendous events. The battle of Alesia was said to be a great victory by Rome. However a roman soldier would say that it was a a very gruesome battle that was anything but glorious .

Use of four tools to organize past.
First I need to find the significant events in Roman history. Significance is eevents of a certain temporal frame that had the most impact or are the most important. First is one of the most important events in Roman history, when it was founded. In 753 A.D. by Romulus. Then in 45 A.D. the most famous Roman emperor came to power, Julius Caesar. He hired Sosigenes, an Egyptian astronomer, to work out a new 12 month calendar .

Social institutions
Rome was ruled by kings for a long time. This way was not fair to the citizens and was not a very good, way to rule a kingdom even thought that's what most other kingdoms did. So Rome did something bold and made a republic, their last king was dispelled and Rome became a republic. They had a constitution and laws to keep everyone in line. Some of these traits of their country we still use today, others we don't.
