The Sahara is located in the northern part of Africa. The Sahara's climate is the worlds harshest, strong winds blow constantly from the northeast. The Sahara receives less then 10in of rain per year. Sometimes the Sahara goes without rain for long periods of time sometimes even years.

The temperatures in the Sahara average 86F, but it is often over 122F. The hottest it ever got was 136F.

During the winter nights of the Sahara, the temperatures drop below freezing, some areas even frost.
