Sandhill Cranes spend winters in Florida, Mexico, or the southwest. They spend summers in Canada or Alaska. They also do not like very cold wheather. Sounds good, doesn't it? they have a great time!

DIET
Sandhill Cranes often eat grain or wheat, but also eat berries or small fruits. Mostly, they eat what they can find. It's a pretty good menu.

You should come join our construction. We already have a lot of members, and we wish you would be one more great member. We tend to winter in the everglades, and summer in Canada or Alaska. sometimes we travel to the northern keys. (Paradise, YAAAAAAAAy!)

SOME ISSUES THAT COULD HURT US:

  • Development could restrict us from our living space.
  • water pollution could get us very sick.
  • Usage of trees could rid us of shelter.
  • pollution could hurt us just like any other oxygen-breathing animal.
  • (in case you didn't know, pollution would make it harder to breathe.)

PreDATORS
SOME PREDATORS ARE EAGLES, COYOTES, AND BOBCATS. IF WE SEE ONE, WE FLARE OUR FEATHERS UP AND TRY TO LOOK BIG AND SCARE THEM AWAY. A coyote is pictured here.
