THE SENECA TRIBE

POPULATION
The Seneca Tribe held a population of about 8,000 citizens.

The Seneca were the largest of 6 Indian Nations.

SENACA LANGUAGE

IN THE SENECA LANGUAGE WE ARE KNOWN AS ONONDOWAGAH, MEANING, "GREAT HILL PEOPLE.

The 18 and 19th century Seneca's territory was around what we call now, the Finger Lakes area in New York.

The Senecas were very good at hunting and fishing, they were also highly skilled when it comes to fighting. They were VERY fierce.

5 REASONS WHY THE SENECAS WERE AWESOME

  • They have a huge tribe
  • They have a very skilled tribe, and big plus skilled equals unstoppable.
  • They have a large territory to hide or live.
  • They have great hunters so they can eat and drink.
  • Some of the Senecas can sew, so they have good clothing.
