PRESENTATION OUTLINE

I is for insane.
People who think, and People who ask questions are insane. Anyone with any sort of thought process at all are insane. Those who refuse to conform and let their curiosity lead them are insane. Faber, and Clarrise had been/ are considered insane in this society. Clarrise had seen a psychiatrist to 'cure' her insanity. Faber is cowardly and stays locked up in his house. While in Clarrises case she died, it just proves that in this society being insane is very dangerous and few are willing to take the risk of being different. However, guy thinks it might be worth it.

J is for judgement.
When Mildred and her friends come over the begin to talk about politics. They talk about who everyone voted for. They all judged which president to vote for based in their looks. This began to aggravate guy because they did not know the people. The lady's only knew what the parlor walls told them. Based on looks they judged which president to vote for.

K is for kinsman.
While in this society no one really has a relationship with their kin, families have no relationship. Despite this lack of relationship guy finds that he feels that him and Faber are kinsmen. They haven't known each other for very long, yet they talk like family. Guy had felt like he knew Clarrise like she was a daughter. Faber he knows like family. They have this relationship because they actually talk.

L is for life.
Montag tries to find what life is. He knows that what his society is isn't the meaning if life. People are depressed, committing suicide and murder, people are not happy and have no relationship with each other. So, Montag tries to understand what life is and how to be happy. He finds happiness having a real conversation with the people society call insane.

M is for montag.
Montag is the main character in this book. Montag a fireman, now doesn't know what to think. He had been told that books are bad. A problem, so you burn it. Now he wonders if happiness can be found in books. In his newfound curiosity he searches for a teacher.

N is for numbness.
Guy is filled with this numb confusion. Confusion on what life really was. He realized that he wasn't happy about the time of the beginning of the numb feeling. This numb confusion on who he really was and what was truth. He hoped Faber would talk since into him and the numb, raw confusion would go away.

O is for observer.
Faber had observed society warp and change the view of reality. He had been an on looker never stepping in to do anything about it. He watched as books disappeared and students no longer took some of the courses at school. Faber never stepped up to do anything about it. Now, a shaken fireman begs him it teach him to understand the words on a page. Faber then takes guy in as a student. Fabers new job is to observe montags world, listening in with his seashell gizmo.

P is for poetry.
After montag gets back from fabers house Mildred has some friends over to watch the parlor walls. Montag ends up turning the walls off on them and tries reading to them. Mrs.Bowels is mad that he would try to do such a thing. In the end montag reads a poem and it puts mrs.Phelps to tears this gets mrs.Bowels even more mad. The lady's all are mad at montag now. Poetry had also been the thing to bring montag to Faber. In the park Faber had began quoting poetry to him, this in the end brought montag into a mess with books. Poetry and books have great power when you can comprehend it.

Q is for quality.
Faber said that one of the three things guy was missing and was looking for is quality. Quality being texture. Faber said that books had pores. This meant that books showed the good and bad. Books are reality. The reality shows everyone watches are telling lies. No one knows what reality is anymore nor do they care. Guy and the other "insane" people care and try to find it. This reality is in books good and bad, sad and happy, it's all in books. However, no one wants to have most of these feelings hence the reason books are no more.
