PRESENTATION OUTLINE

I is for idiot

This is what everyone calls Montag, as he's been making stupid desicions. Mildred calls him it because he wants to read. Faber calls him it due to him being an idiot and reading poetry to Mildred's friends. This caused his house to be burned, and most of his books.

J is for jailed

After Montag was discovered having books, he had to burn down his own home. Beatty said that he was supposed to go to Jail, but Montag burned him and ran. He barely escaped being jailed.

K is for kerosene/kerosine

This kerosene was used to burn Montag's home. Montag was forced to destroy his own items. Burning used to be his favourite thing to do, but ever since he met Clarisse he can't enjoy it one bit.

L is for learning

Clarisse and her family taught their family members true history and facts. As a result of meeting Clarisse, Montag wants to learn more. He wants to break free from his non-thinking society.

M is for mush

This mush represents what Montag's brain is like is Part 2. He can't think straight, and is starting to go crazy. This insanity in him lead him to stupidly reading poetry aloud to Mildred and her "friends."

N is for noxious

The fumes of the flames that burned houses used to be pleasurable. Lately though, these fumes make him feel ill. He can't stand the flames anymore. He wants to help those with books, not hurt them.

O is for obey

Everyone in this world is supposed to obey the rules. You can't think, read, or even possess a book. A few people, like Clarisse and Montag, do differently. Clarisse was a natural curious type, and Montag worked to become more intelligent.

P is for private

Montag and Faber kept their lives hidden after they met. They never face to face contacted in order to protect their books. Sadly, their camouflage didn't work as Montag was found out, and his house was burned by himself.

Q is for questions

Clarisse was always a curious and quirky person. She always seemed to wonder about something, or be fascinated by it. She would ask questions about little things that she wanted to know. This was probably why she was hit by a car, since those things were considered weird.
