In the spring, low water-levels of the Watson river, that´s full of sand, goes to the dunes of the Carcross desert.

Plants that live on the dunes have to survive to:

droughts, the abrasive effects of wind-blown sand and unstable ground.

Plants here are constantly changing

They move as the dunes move

The dunes habitat is home to some rare plants and insects.

The Carcross Dunes is an exciting place to explore,

but this unique area is fragile, so you should be careful with the insects and plants.
