GROUP OF COLONISTS WHO PROTESTED AGAINST THE STAMP ACT.

SONS OF LIBERTY

  • They began meeting in1765 because of the stamp act.
  • They called themselves the Loyal Nine as the group got bigger they became the Sons of Liberty.

Their first protest was to go against the stamp act. They harassed the tax distributors who worked for the government into quitting their jobs.The Sons of Liberty protested on the streets, the tax was finely stopped.
