  • Although, Maryland was propietary
  • Royal:ruled by a royal governor and council of the British crown.
  • Propietary: territories granted by the British crown to one or
  • more propietaries who had full governing nights.

  • Timber,

  • Fish

  • Coastal Plains in the East
  • Piedmont is farther inland
  • Mountains are farther West

  • Georgia was created by England
  • Georgia escaped religious persecution.

ECONOMY

  • Most people farmed rice, sugar cane and cotton.
  • Slaves worked on large plantations.

FUN FACTS

  • Charleston became an American slave trade center.
  • Jamestown was founded by James Smith, the first English settlement
  • They are mostly catholic.
