  • It was named the state flag in 1925.
  • It's navy blue and yellow.
  • Oregon's state flag has the date on it when it was accepted into the union.

HOW THE STATE GOT IT"S NAME.

  • It comes from the french word "ouragon'' which means ''hurricane''
  • Major Roger Rogers found the name in the blue book.

  • It was made by Millard Filmore,and James Buchanan.

  • The Western Meadowlark.
  • It was chosen as the state bird in 1921.
  • It's a song bird.
  • A adult medowlark can be up to 8-11 inches long.

THE SEAL OF OREGON

  • It's a shield with 33 stars.
  • The 33 stars represent it being the 33rd state to join the union.
  • It was named the seal in 1957 and 1987.
