It was named the state flag in 1925.
It's navy blue and yellow.
Oregon's state flag has the date on it when it was accepted into the union.

It comes from the french word "ouragon'' which means ''hurricane''
Major Roger Rogers found the name in the blue book.

It was named the seal in 1957 and 1987.
