THE STORY OF PERSEPHONE

BY : DEREK LOPEZ & JUAN CASTRO

THE SETTING, WHERE, AND WHEN

  • Setting of the story takes place in the underworld and the world above.
  • Where they where was Greek.
  • When was 3,000 years ago.

CHARACTERS

  • Major characters, Persephone, Hades, Demeter, Zeus.
  • Minor characters, Persephone's friends.

Plot/Problem
The problem in the story was that Hades took Persephone away. Spring changes into cold, ugly winter.

In the beginning, Hades took Persephone to the underworld to be his Queen.

Then, Zeus made Hades let Persephone come back to the world above so that spring can come back.

Finally, Persephone realizes that she can't eat food in the underworld. The more she eats she has to stay a month and she ate four pomegranate seeds. She has to stay for four months in the underworld because of what she ate.

The problem in the story was solved by Zeus demanding Hades to let Persephone come back to the world above so there can be spring and summer.
