RHINO AND AN OXPECKER BIRD

The relationship between a Rhino and an Oxpecker bird is mutualistic. This is where both organisms benefit.

The Rhinos scientific name is rhinocerotidea. The Oxpecker bird is a buphagidae.

These animals are found in different places the rhino is found in Eastern and Southern Africa. The Oxpecker bird is found in the Sub Saharan Africa.

Rhinos and Oxpecker birds eat many things the Rhino for instance eats grass and other plants. The Oxpecker bird eats ticks, flies, and worms off of Cattle, Buffaloes, Rhinos, Giraffes, and Antelopes.

In this relationship they both have a role. The Oxpecker bird eats off all the bugs and parasites the rhino has. In return the Rhino gives it a food source to live.

SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TAPEWORMS AND DOGS

These two organisms have a parasitism relationship which means the parasite lives on the host and harms the animal.

The scientific name for a tapeworm is dipylidium. The scientific name for a dog is canis.

The tapeworm is found in Africa, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, central land South America. The Dog came from Europe.

The dog feeds on meat and some vegetables. The tape worm feeds on what ever the host is digesting.

The tapeworms role in the relationship to eat what the dog is digesting. The dog gives them food but can die due to the weight loss.

The relationship between a ant and an acacia is mutualistic which means beneficial to both organisms.

The scientific name for a ant is formicidae. The scientific name for an acacia is acacia.

Ants are found in many places besides Antarctica, Greenland, Iceland, parts of Polynesia, Hawaiian islands. Acacia are found in Europe, Asia, Africa.

Acacia eat ants. Ants eat a mixture of things like sugar, fruits, some eat meat, seeds and vegtables.

The ants role is to protect the acacia. The acacia then provides the food for the ant.
