THE TEA ACT

• The purpose for the Tea Act wat to reduce the amount of tea smuggled into the colonies.
• Because the purchase of tea was taxed on top of anotherr tax the colonists decided to dup all the tea in the bay to avoid buying it.
• The British decided to then impose another tax to punish Massachustes.
