What does your classroom look like?
Level 1
Significantly Below Expectations
What Level 1 looks like:
- A disorganized and uninviting classroom
- Teacher who is authoritarian and negative
- Students who are often off-task or bored
- A lack of student work in the room
- Low teacher expectations
Level 2
At Expectations
What LEvel 2 looks like:
- Students are encouraged to learn from mistakes
- Established rules for learning and behavior
- A welcoming classroom for members and guests
- Student work displayed on walls
- Respect for the teacher and between students
Level 3
Significantly Above Expectations
What Level 3 looks like:
- Rigorous expectations for students
- Classroom is arranged to promote learning/is accessible
- Consistently well-behaved students
- Positive relationships characterize the classroom
- Student work is displayed and frequently changes
