PRESENTATION OUTLINE
HELLO READER๐! YOU (THE READER) ASK WHO THE TEXAS RANCHERS WERE? WELL I'M HERE TO TELL YOU ALL ABOUT THEM FROM BEGAINING TO END!!!!!
Ranchers have been in Texas just as long as cattle. During the Texas Revolution the Mexican ranchers left their cattle here in Texas they mixed up with the cattle from the U.S creating a beautiful, magnificent LONGHORN!!!
๐๐๐๐๐
At the end of Civil War the were a lot of Longhorns!!! ๐๐๐๐
The Longhorns fed on the grass on the open range of the frontier.๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
There was more than enough of cattle for food in Texas, however in larger cities like Chicago and New York people needed food to eat. ๐๐

All these cities were far away so the cattle was shipped by train. But before that the ranchers had to take them to a Railroad Town. ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ
These Railroads went through cities like Kansas, Sedalia, Abilene, and Missouri. Sadly๐ the only way to get to theses places was by walking๐ถ๐ป
THE CHISHOLM TRAIL WAS NAMED AFTER JESSE CHISHOLM
Life was hard being part of a cattle drive with the heat of the sun and the dust blowing everywhere and the cold winds. Sometime you would have to carry a large herd there could be as much as 3,000 Cattle! (๐ x 3,000)
Being part of a Cattle Drive was DANGEROUS. You could be attacked by Indians or Rustlers (A thief). And when the Longhorns were nervous or sacred the Longhorns could stampede.
There also were black, Mexian- American, and Anglo American Cowboys in Texas some of them later became ranchers.
WHAT DID RANCHERS DO?
A RANCHER MAIN JOB WAS TO HERD CATTLE AND WORK WITH EM' IN THINGS LIKE CATTLE DRIVES AND OTHER STUFF๐๐๐
For ranchers to be a rancher they needed cattle. Ranchers came to Texas because of allllllll the cattle we have.
Ranchers are important to Texas because without em' we would have a BUNCH of cattle in Texas because they were the ones who moved them to different cities๐. Sooo without them our state would probably overflow with cattle!!!!!!!!!!!!๐๐๐
