Branches of Government

Executive Branch

• The president is head of the branch
• The executive branch makes sure the laws are followed
• The Vice President helps the president with his work

Judicial Branch

• The Judicial branch has 9 Judges
• The Judicial branch can strike down laws
• They can only do so if they think the law is unfair
• The Supreme Court has the final say.

Legislative Branch

• The legislative branch has two houses
• --The Senate and The House of Representatives
• The House of Representatives has 435 people
• The Senate has 100 members each state gets 2
