INCREASING Speed

  • Whenever a object speeds up, it accelerates.
  • This car is accelerating down a street and looks like its increasing speed.

DECREASING SPEED

  • All objects can speed up, and can also slow down, or stop.
  • This train is slowing to a stop, while pulling into the station, to pick up passongers.

Changing Direction

  • Almost all objects can change their direction, even at a constant speed.
  • This Ferris wheel may be going in a circle, but its still changing direction.
