  • Rome couldn't defend from external invasions.
  • Barbarian soldiers weren't loyal to Rome, but to money.

2. EXTERNAL INVASIONS

  • Rome couldn't defend themselves
  • External Invasions destroyed Rome
  • External Invasions killed lots of people/soldiers

  • The Plague killed lots of people
  • Reduced the number of workers
  • Killed soldiers, so Rome couldn't defend itself
  • Destroyed crops etc.
  • Killed agricultural workes, so there weren't people to make food.
