BY: JOELLE CARRINGTON- 7TH PER.

3. THE PLAGUE

  • It killed many people hurting Rome.
  • Reduced the number of laborers which led to a decline in agriculture & trade.
  • Reduction in the number of soldiers, which led to a growth of barbarians in Rome.
  • It weakened Rome has a whole starting the fall of the Empire.

2. CHRISTIANITY

  • Disrupted the believe of Roman values.
  • Romans thought they would overtake the empire and rule with power.
  • Romans thought the people would convert into Christianity.
  • Romans thought the people would stop following the emperors.
  • Disrupted the unification within Rome because the people worshipped the almighty God & not them.

1. AGRICULTURAL PROBLEMS

  • Loss of land from battles and led to unfertile soil for farming.
  • ^^So they couldn't grow as much and didn't have enough food supply.
  • Since they didn't have food to trade, their economy declined.
  • Without agricultural you are left with nothing to create your empire or to support the people.
  • Also without Economy you have no structure to hold up an empire.
