THE FIRST KNOWN DESIGN FOR A ROCKET DRIVEN TORPEDO
- The inventor of the torpedo was Hasan al-Rammah
- The torpedo was made in around 1270
- The torpedo ran with a rocket system filled with explosive materials and having three firing points.

HOW IT CAME TO CREATION
- The Islamic people created the torpedo by adding a lot of gunpowder into a shell that explodes on contact with its target
- The setting of this innovation was when the Muslims wanted a new type of weapon that could propel and pierce itself into a enemy ship and explode.
WHY IT WAS A CULTURAL ACCOMPLISHMENT
- It was more for military use that cultural use because it's meant for warfare
- It allowed to blow up the inside of a enemy ship by piercing through the hull and exploding

HOW IT CHANGED TRADITIONAL THOUGHT
- It allowed the use of a long range weapon that could penetrate the hull and destroy it from within

- When more countries found out about this weapon they started to construct some of their own
- Then most of the worlds navy began to use torpedoes as a weapon.
