THE TROPICS OF NEW YORK REVIEW

STANZA 1: FRUIT

• Bananas ripe and green, and ginger root
• Cocoa in pods and alligator pears,
• And tangerines and mangoes and grape fruit,

STANZA 1: PRIZE

• Fit for the highest prize at parish fairs,

STANZA 2: WINDOW

• Sat in the window, bringing memories

STANZA 2: THOUGHTS

• of fruit trees laden by low-singing rills,
• And dewy dawns, and mystical skies
• In benediction over nun-like hills.

STANZA 3: EYES

• My eyes grow dim, and I could no more gaze;

STANZA 3: WAVE LONGING

• A wave of longing through my body swept,

STANZA 3: HUNGRY

• And, hungry for the old familiar ways

STANZA 3: TURN ASIDE

• I turned aside and bowed my head and wept.

STANZA 1-2: MUSIC

• The music I chose is the soudtrack from "Sonic Heroes" called "Seaside Hill".
• The song maybe familiar to some, to them it makes perfect sense.
• The song plays on the first level of the game, which is located on the beach.
• This music gives you the feeling that you are at a tropical area, like Jamaica.
• It's also gives a very energetic and jolly feeling, like when you are at a carnival having fun.

STANZA 3: MUSIC

• The last music I chose is from the "Majora's Mask" soundtrack called "Gorons Lullaby".
• Pretty much in the game, a child is crying because he misses his father, who the latter is frozen in ice.
• You thaw out the father and he teaches you the first part of the song and you play that part.
• The child helps you complete the song by singing it with you.
• If the setup wasn't enough to get you to the brink of tears, the song itself almost got me to bawl.

STANZA 3: MUSIC PT. 2

• While the first few seconds of the song was a little robotic.
• The last seconds not only sounded beautiful but it brought a visual of the father playing the song.
• Ending with an image of the father cradling the son.
• If THAT wasn't enough, in the game, you have 3 days until the moon crashes on the earth.
• From all that I said, I could not think of any other song to put here.
