Holidays

Unlike the USA, the United Kingdom does not celebrate Thanksgiving or the Fourth of July. They do celebrate Christmas, Easter, and Valentine's day. They have a lot more religious holidays than normal/local holidays. Halloween is becoming a celebrated holiday now also. There are many bank holidays where workers get the day off due to the closing of the Bank of England.
Each township also has many small town festivals throughout the year that are specific to that town.
People walk a lot in the UK and many walk to town everyday.

travel

Leith Hill
Traveling is wonderful in the UK. The countrysides are made of luscious gardens and scenic castles that date back thousands of years. The seaside also is very popular with tourists.

English Delights

Yorkshire Pudding
British people love their tea but are also a fan of sweets. Many shops have ice cream or gelato.
There are candy shops with specialty candies and chocolates. However one of the favorite dishes is Yorkshire Pudding. It is made in the drippings from the roast and adds a great ending to any meal.

Immigration vs Emigration

Immigration is British society's biggest problem. A survey of public records for a think tank reveals one in three believes immigration is the most important cause of division in UK society and culture.
In the upcoming years more people will enter(immigration) the UK than exit (emigration) leading to problems with jobs and financial strain on the UK government.

Resources: www.theguardian.com

"A migrant arrives almost every minute but they leave at only just over half that rate."

Quote: www.migrationwatch.uk.org

Immigration freedoms?

How much is too much?
In the UK with more immigration on a daily basis it is leading to new social groups changing the face of
the country. Muslims want to wear traditional dress and Asians want to force a change in workers pay. How much is to much to allow immigrants to do when they are hurting the natural born citizens and cultures and jobs of a country? How much would you put up with before you say How much is too much?

what i think of culture

I believe culture is the different ways in how people eat, act, talk, celebrate, and even how they choose to worship. Different cultures make the world a very interesting place. Without cultures we would all be the same. More than ever today however we must stand strong not to lose our cultures as the world is becoming more populated. The things we believe in give us hope and strength and something to look forward to not only for us but for future generations.
