What´s a verb ?

  • Is a word that we use to explain an action, a process, a state that affect people or things.

REMEMBER

  • When the verb ends in o, x, ch, sh, z, and s add es.
  • When the verb ends in vowel + "y" add s.
  • When the verb ends in consonant + "y" chance to ies.
  • When the verb ends in "f" chance the "f" to ves.

Kind of verbs

 

REGULAR VEBS

  • Most verbs are regular and y easier to learn.

RULES

  • When the verb ends in "e" add d (dance-danced)
  • When the verb ends in "ed" add to the last consonant his fellow(stop--stopped)
  • When the verb ends in"y" preceded for a consonant, chance "y" to i and add ed. (try--tried)

IRREGULAR VERBS

  • Irregular verbs are few but difficult to learn becouse they often chance several letters in it's conjugation.

  • Does he like living in Germany? Yes, he loves it. No, he hates it. Did you love the Beatles in the 60s? Yes, I loved them. No, I hated them. Do you hate football? Yes, I hate it. No, I love it.

To invite someone to do something

  • Do you feel like going out tonight? Yes, I'd love to. No, I don't feel like it. Do you fancy going for a drive? Yes, I'd love to. No, I don't feel like it.

How about going out tonight? Yes, I'd love to. No, I don't feel like it.

Would you like to go out tonight? Yes, I'd love to. No, I don't feel like it.

How about having a drink? Yes, I'd love to. No, thanks.

Would you like to have a drink? Yes, I'd love one. No, thank you.
