This course given once weekly over six weeks, will provide you with the ability to manage stress and promote your wellbeing through the practice of Mindfulness. Notes and audio CDs are provided for home support.
I have over 25 years clinical experience as a therapist combined with almost 40 years experience of Mindfulness, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong. I have also taught Tai Chi for several years in Ireland. I have also taught Mindfulness at The Dublin Human Givens Centre.
I will teach you how and why stress damages your health.
I will teach you how to use Mindfulness in your day to day life so that you know how to manage your stress levels.
The methods I use include techniques derived from the modern scientific study of Mindfulness, Meditation, and methods derived from the ancient Chinese system of Qi Gong, which is one of the most powerful and effective methods of breath focused Mindfulness, which is tried and trusted over many generations of practice.
I will also provide insights from applied psychology and the Human Givens system of psychotherapy, this will give you knowledge of how to get important emotional needs met and why this is of vital importance to your mental/emotional wellbeing.
This combination of ancient and modern knowledge is what makes this a highly beneficial and effective course in Mindfulness. Each week will build your skills so that when you finish you will have the capability to use your new skills to benefit your health.
