The Whale That Could Walk

No Description

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

MEET THE WHALE THAT WAlKED!

BY MICHAEL BUCHMANN

What’s the situation?
A whale that researchers have proven walked on land was dug up in southern Peru. Although the creature had already been discovered in India and Africa, it explains how whales got to the Americas.

When and where did this happen?
The article took place in 2011 in Peru where they found the skeleton. It took a long time to examine the bones which is probably why it took so long for the article to come out.

EXPLAIN/DESCRIBE

WASN’T TELLING YOU TO FIND A WALKING WHALE AND WASN’T HYPNOTIZING YOU WITH JOY

OTHERS SHOULD CARE ABOUT THIS BECAUSE...

  • It tells us more about our oceans
  • It explains how the largest animal in the history of the world got to the Americas
  • It could tell us more about evolution
  • It could tell us more about our planet
  • It helps us understand how whales turned into water creatures

I CHOSE TO WRITE ABOUT THIS BECAUSE...

  • I think that it is cool that whales used to walk
  • It amazes me that with little information scientists can prove specific things about the animal
  • I find other life forms interesting

HISTORICAL/GEOGRAPHICAL

IT WAS MAINLY ABOUT THE MIGRATION OF THE ANIMAL OVER TIME
