  • Structured inquiry that ties in most subject areas
  • Higher level questions to spark cognitive thinking
  • Students will use these key questions to deepen understanding
  • Students make connections across disciplines

  • Form, connection, perspective, responsibility, reflection
  • Function: How does it work?
  • Causation: Why is it like it is?
  • Change: How is it changing?
  • Connection: How is it connected to other things?

  • 12 traits students portray
  • Daily use and awareness of student demonstrations
  • Should be clearly embedded vernacular
  • AKA "habits of mind"
  • Should be used in all 3 components of PYP curriculum model
