This virus could be spread through lots of things like sneezing, or coughing around someone.
A treatment for polio in the 50s was to stretch your arms and legs and some other muscles. They would also put hot packs on you. Something else that helps is picking up marbles with your toes. There is know real cure for polio even today but your parents or you might have gotten a vaccination so that way you can not get polio. But if you already have it there is know way to get rid of it.
The good news is is that America was eradicated of this terrible virus. However it is still a problem in Pakistan and Afghanistan. There is currently 54 cases of polio in Pakistan and 28 cases in Afghanistan.
YOU MAY BE ABLE TO PREVENT THIS VIRUS BY NOT SHARING WATER OR FOOD WHEN YOU HAVE THIS VIRUS. TODAY YOU CAN GET A VACINE WHEN YOU ARE A BABY SO THAT WAY YOU CAN NOT RECEIVE THIS VIRUS. BUT IF YOU ALREADY HAVE IT THERE IS KNOW WAY TO GET RID OF IT.
