AUDIBLE

  • Audible means being able to be heard
  • In theatre it is important to be audible, so that way your audience can hear you.

CIRCUMFLEX

  • Circumflex means a combination of rising and falling infection.
  • Circumflex is in important when preforming, because it makes the performance more interesting.

PITCH

  • Pitch is the highness or lowness of the voice.
  • Pitch is important, because when you sing you don't stay in the same octave the whole time.

PROJECT

  • To project is to send your voice out to the audience.
  • It is important to project, because if you don't the audience can't hear you.

RATE

  • Rate is the speed someone speaks.
  • Rate is important, because if someone speaks to fast it is hard to understand and them.

The key to a good rehearsal is to ensure that you achieve the following before starting:

  • Abdominal breathing
  • Good posture
  • Breath during natural pauses.
  • Keep your chin level
  • Keep your knees loose
  • Keep your head up
  • Keep shoulders relaxed.
  • Keep toes pointed forward
  • Keep front neck loose
  • Keep abdominal muscles straight
  • Keep back muscles straight
  • Avoid lifting shoulders
  • Relax and SMILE
