PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Theatre Troupe was started in 2013 in response to an unmet need...
Young people with mental health problems felt ashamed, stigmatised and bullied about their experiences.
Anxiety, withdrawal and anti-social behaviour meant exclusion from most youth activities
Welfare changes and an increased pressure in school meant more and more young people experienced mental distress
Using our experience in working with vulnerable young people through the arts, we created
The Theatre Troupe experience
Supporting new friendships
Stringent active anti-bullying ethos
Working together collaboratively
Games and theatre exercises:
A place to be comfortable and grounded
Safe and secure workshop settings
High child to staff ratio
