Message: no words were spoken; meant to show the beauty of Mary and the holiness within them
Effect: This glorious image of Mary was meant to give the people of Ireland hope; they made a shrine to honor her appearance with the cross and lamb to show Jesus
Personal reflection:
This showed me how beautiful Mary was as the mother of Christ. God had wanted the people to realize they are loved by her. I was touched by the way she didn't even have to say anything; they just knew she was perfect.
