The water bottle, a simple idea that grew into mass popularity over the years. Known for its versatility, the water bottle could go anywhere.
But in the past few years, a noticably large amount of bottles have been thrown away into landfills. You might think, No big deal, right?" Wrong. These bottles can take five centuries to decompose and the resources used for these bottles could be used elsewhere.
Plastic water bottles are expensive, both to create and to sell. Last year alone, it took 17 million barrels of oil to create these bottles, enough fuel to run 1million cars for a year.
