PSALM 69:8 & JOHN 7:3-5

  • Psalm 69:8 ~ I am a foreigner to my own family, a stranger to my own mother’s children;
  • John 7:3-5 ~ Jesus’ brothers said to him, “Leave Galilee and go to Judea, so that your disciples there may see the works you do.

Psalm 69:9 & John 2:17

  • Psalm 69:9 ~ for zeal for your house consumes me, and the insults of those who insult you fall on me.
  • John 2:17 ~ His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”

Isaiah 9:6 & Luke 2:11

  • Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
  • Luke 2:11 ~ Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

Deuteronomy 21:23 & Galatians 3:13

  • Deuteronomy 21:23 ~ you must not leave the body hanging on the pole overnight. Be sure to bury it that same day, because anyone who is hung on a pole is under God’s curse.
  • Galatians 3:13 ~ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole."

Numbers 21:8-9 & John 3:14-15

  • Numbers 21:8-9 ~ “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.
  • John 3:14-15 ~ Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.

Hosea 11:1 & Matthew 2:13-15

  • Hosea 11:1 ~ God’s Love for Israel “When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son."
  • Matthew 2:13-15 ~ When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

  • Amos 9:11-12 ~ Israel’s Restoration“In that day" “I will restore David’s fallen shelter I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins ."
  • Acts 15:16-18 ~ “‘After this I will return and rebuild David’s fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it, that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord.
