Arianism
Arianism states that Christ is a created being. Its founder was Arius, a priest in Egypt that lived from 256-336.
Nestorianism
States that Jesus is two different persons when he is actually one person with two natures. It was founded by nestorius who lived from 386-450.
Council of Nicaea
It solved the heresy of Arianism, by stating jesus was 100% human and 100% divine. It took place in 325.
Council of Constantinople
It was the second ecumenical council that confirmed the nicene creed. The council of Constantinople took place in 381.
Council of Ephesus
It was the third ecumenical council that took place in 431. It condemned the teachings of Nestorius and completely eradicated Nestorianism.
Arius
Arius was the leader of Arianism who stated that Jesus was two different people. His opponent was Athaniasus, who was a priest in Egypt.
Nestorius
Nestorius was the founder of Nestorianism, which stated that Jesus was two different persons. His main opponent was theophilus.
