PRESENTATION OUTLINE

NOVEMBER 22, 2013

RAIN HAD SET IN AS I WAS ON MY WAY HOME

RT. 627 (PARIS RD.)

  • As I approached this hill there was no traffic either direction
  • When I topped the hill, there were cars backed up in my lane.
  • I immediately tried to stop, but went into a skid, sliding sideways.
  • To regain control, I let off the brakes and accelerated as hard as I could.

Untitled Slide

  • I was able to steer left and avoid the line of traffic and bystanders.
  • I scraped the side of a tree on the drivers side and dropped into a ditch.
  • The truck ripped through a fence and came to a rest in the field.

I WAS UNHARMED.

THE TRUCK WAS DAMGED MODERATELY ON THE DRIVERS SIDE

...SO WERE THE OTHERS...

MY VEHICLE AND THE FENCE WERE THE ONLY THINGS DAMAGED

PRAISE GOD...RIGHT?

NOT ME. I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT MY TRUCK.

THIS IS WHAT MATTERS

AND NOW I KNOW, MATERIALISM AFFECTS ME TOO.

BUT WHAT MATTERS MOST

IS THE ONE WHO WAS WITH ME THAT DAY.

THE ONE IN THE MIDDLE

HE WAS HANGING THERE FOR ME.

GRACE

EVEN WHEN I FAIL TO PRAISE HIM AND BE THANKFUL.
