Simile

  • A simile is a sentence comparing like or as to something in the sentence.

  • Example he is like the boss at that.

Metaphor

  • A metaphor is a sentence without using like or as
  • Example August is the sun.

Hyperbole

  • A hyperbole is a sentence that says what a person says that they said 
  • but they did not
  • Example I told 100 times to do that.

Aliteration

  • It is a sentence that has words that start with one letter only unless
  • it is and or but.
  • Example butter is bitter.

Ideoms

  • A idiom is a sentence that someone says but they don't have it or did it.
  • Example I have ants in my pants and that just means he is excited.

Onamatopeia

  • It is where something does it most of the time like humans cough.
  • Example cow goes moo.

Personification

  • It is where something is really nice and it is something people would do.
  • Example the stars played in the moonlight sky.
