He was the constructor of the locomotive but did not come up with the idea!
He was the frist one to ride the locomotive.
He also invented the light bulb.

Pros
It's a great way of traveling.
Good for transporting items.
Good for transporting humans to long distances.
It can use coal which may be a domestic resource when oil is not.
It can attract tourists who want the experience of riding a locomotive.

Cons
Bad for the transportation of drugs.
Bad they pollute with large amounts of steam.
The power and speed of steam engines is limited.
They are difficult and expensive to maintain.
They are slower than modern diesel or electric trains.
