DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE.

  • Thomas Jefferson created the declaration of Independence to let America be free from the British.
  • He also got rid of king George the third for taxing America and taking people rights.
  • Jefferson listed pursuit happiness, rather than property, as one of the inalienable rights of men, Jefferson broke with the traditional concept of the purpose of government and established a unique foundation for America's own.
  • Jefferson justified such rhetoric with his ownership of slaves on his tobacco plantation.
  • With Declaration of Independence it made America helped solve it's problems from the British.
  • "Let us then, my friends and countrymen, be patient and avoid all inflammatory publications that are disrespectful to our most gracious Sovereign."

AS PRESIDENT OF UNTIED STATES

  • As president Thomas Jefferson was a good Politician and made good speeches.
  • Thomas Jefferson demonstrated political leadership by developing the Republican Party and though it his influence in Comgress.
  • During his first two terms, Thomas Jefferson governed by his Republican ideals of limited power in the federal government.
  • Which the 1803 Louisiana Purchase Jefferson doubled the size of the country and secured the important port of New Orleans for agrarian interests along the Mississippi River.
  • As a president he must be strong and good like Thomas Jefferson.

SECRETARY OF STATE

  • He linked the idea of dividing governmental power into three branches.
  • With the three branches of government it made America great.
  • Jefferson sparred almost immediately with secretary of the treasury of Alexander Hamilton.
  • Jefferson preferred to restrict power to the individual states.
  • As a Secretary of State he must be good and strong like Thomas Jefferson.
