HEAT

ALEXIA LAMONT

Conduction is when you have something hot and you put it on another thing. Then the heat from it goes into the thing it's touching.

An example of conduction is cooking bacon or cooking anything.

Another example is putting rod inside a fire.

Convection is when heat travels in a gas or a liquid form.

An example of convection is a hot air balloon. The heat goes up and heat rises so the hot air balloon goes up.

Cooking macaroni is an example of convection too. The water from the bottom of the pot goes up and the cold water goes down. Convection is also when the molecules move faster and spread out.

Radiation is the transfer of heat through electromagnet waves. Like when the sun heats the earth.

If you stand next to a fireplace and you are feeling the heat that is radiation. Because the heat is coming off the fire.
