What I Learned About This: School Integration was only one part of the struggle but an absolutely essential part

I learned that African Americans were known, than dared at last to demand equal rights as American Citizens
I put this picture because it shows that the Little Rock NIne was a part in Ruby's Life

What I learned: Ruby's mother carried 90 pounds of cotton on her back a day before she had Ruby
I put this picture because it represents that only blacks had to work hard.

I learned about working/ sharecropping that it was hard work, and that blacks carried almost 100 pounds of it on their backs
I chosed this picture because it was one of the reasons why black were slaves, and one of their biggest jobs.

What I learned: whites were screaming and surrounding blacks. I put this picture because it shows that Ruby lived a harsh life.

I learned that where Ruby lived was in a black neighborhood. Where they lived is in a poor neighborhood.
I chosed this picture because it was a picture of Ruby by her house door.

What I learned was that Ruby was one of the blacks who got accepted to an all-white school
I put this picture because it shows the whites fighted for blacks to not be in their school

I chosed this picture because it was involving a school and it was a big school (William Frantz).

I learned that Mrs. Henry was white and she actually loved and cared for Ruby.
I put this picture because it shows that a white person (Mrs. Henry) actually did love and care for a black person (Ruby)

The Riots " Ku Klux Klan"
I learned that they were very mean on blacks and did a lot of horrible things. I put this picture because it represents whites being really mean to blacks

I learned that the KKK was a group of people who burned crosses in front of houses that was owned by black people.
I chosed this picture because it was one of the symbols of the KKK.
'Adelyn' What I Learned Overall
I learned that Ruby had a big impact on blacks lives and that whites were just pathetic to blacks and they didn't care about anything to do with blacks but now we don't have these problems and part of it we need to thank her for what she has done.
M=I learned that Ruby Bridges was a brave little girl, Her first white teacher was Barbara Henry, & I learned many more.
