TIM BURTON

EARLY LIFE

• Timothy Walter Burton was born August 25, 1958 in Burbank California. His parents are Jean and Bill Burton. They lived in a house on Evergreen street where Tim would make crude stop motion films in their backyard.

EARLY CAREER

• His first film, Stalk of the Celery Monster got him an apprenticeship at Disney. He worked on many of their films but his art never made it into them. In 1982 he made his first short, Vincent.

VINCENT

• Vincent is a 6 minute stop motion film based on Burtons poem Vincent.
• It is about a young boy name Vincent who fantasizes that he is his hero Vincent Price.

THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

• Main characters are Jack and Sally
• Jack goes threw an identity crises and becomes Santa
• He ruins Christmas and fights Oogie Boogie and saving Santa and saving Christmas
• Christmas is saved and Jack and Sally end the movie singing together while the ghost dog flies to the sky and becomes a star

SWEENEY TODD

• Sweeney Todd is about a barber that is thrown out of England and a judge steals his wife and daughter.
• Then he comes back to England and goes on a journey to get revenge and get his daughter back.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

• Alice follows a rabbit into a Rabbit hole and falls into wonderland
• She has to fight the Red Queen and kill the Jabberwocky to save Wonderland
• Set in the Victorian era and based off the books
