  • AKA - verbalize ideas that contribute to teamwork

PRIOR KNOWLEDGE?

  • Observe how they treat each other during games
  • Ask them what they remember a good teammate should look/act like

PRE-ASSESSMENT

  • See what kind of learners are in your class (visual, auditory, kinetic etc.)
  • Are there any exceptional learners?
  • Personal understanding of the group as a whole (likes/dislikes)

PRE-ASSESSMENT INFORM TEACHING

  • If i had a bunch of visual learners i would make sure to show the skills i wanted them to know through demonstrations, pictures, videos
  • Exceptional learners: if i had a student with autism too much at once can be a big distraction. Have simple clear cut directions eg. Today we will work on ...
  • The girls say they never get to touch the ball... have rules where girls can be the only ones to send the ball over the net

SUBSEQUENT OUTCOME

  • C10-5: Develop and apply practices that contribute to teamwork
  • AKA - what do you do to be a good teammate

MOD, DIFF, ACCOM (SLO)

  • Mod: students verbally discuss what it takes to be a good teammate with you. Maybe keep a journal of their teamwork examples outside school if they are unable to participate in the class
  • Diff: use multiple mini games, videos, testimonials etc. To show students what teamwork looks/feels like
  • Acc: allow students to choose when they will be observed doing the proper teammate keys
