SETTING

CONFLICT
- First, Donovan had to leave for the war.
- Second, he had to overcome not being able to see hie fiancée.
- Third, he had to face Germans with out a gun.
- Last, he had to watch his Sargent get shot by the enemy.
PLOT
- Exposition: Private first class Michael T. Donovan joined the military
- and had to leave to France to fight in a war.
- Rising action: He is in a plane that crash lands.
- Then, he goes in a old house to get away from the Germans.
- After that: His team came in and killed the Germans hiding from the war in

- the same house as Donovan was.
- Finally the Americans took Donovan with them to give him a gun and amo
- and got him ready for the war.
- Climax: The most important thing in the story was that the American soldiers found him and
- rescued him from the old house.

- Falling action: The falling action is when Donovan made his first shots
- and killed three Germans. Resolution: Donovan went ahead and took the Sargent's place
