GREAT MIGRATION(1910-1970)

  • 6 million African Americans out of the rural Southern U.S. To the Northern, Midwest and West that occurred between 1910 to 1970.

BOLSHEVIK REVOLUTION

  • In Russia (1917) rid that county of tsar Nicholas and put the country into hands of the socialist (communists). The military revolutionary committee began the takeover of government buildings.

MARCUS GARVEY

  • He started the "Black To Africa" campaign in May of 1917. He she gab a company known as BLACK STAR LINE calling all blacks back to Africa.

18TH AMENDMENT(1919)

  • The United States constitution effectively established the prohibition of alcoholic beverages in U.S. December 18 . This amendment took effect in 1919 and was a huge failure.

VOLSTEAD ACT(1919)

  • "The National Prohibition" was to carry out the intent of the 18th amendment. Which was established prohibition in the U.S.

PALMER RiDS (1920)

  • Raids by U.S. Department of Justice . The raids and arrests occurred in November 1919 and January 1920 under the leadership of attorney General A.Mitchell Palmer.

19TH AMENDMENT (1920)

  • Incident that took place in the U.S. From 1912 to 1922. The teapot dome was regarded as the "greatest and most sensational scandal in the history of American politics". During the administration of president Warren G. Harding.

  • 2 immigrants may be deemed unfair when compared to american standards. Both accused of murder, both was executed . July 14, 1921

  • Second successful nonstop,single pilot flight of a heavier-than-air . Aircraft across the Atlantic ocean in 1927.

HERBERT HOOVER ELECTED PRESIDENT (1929)

  • America's 31st president (1929-1933). Whose term was notably marked by the stock market crash of 1929 and beginnings of the Great Depression.

STOCK MARKET CRASH (1929)

  • In 1929 helped bring on thenGreat Depression . The U.S. Market under went rapid expansion, reaching it's peek in 1929.
