395 AD

  • The Roman Empire Gets Divided In Half.
  • Eastern Empire based in Constantinople. Western Empire is based in Rome.

476 AD

  • The Western Empire Falls, But The Eastern Empire Survives.
  • After the western empire falls the eastern empire gets labeled as Byzantine Empire.

562 AD

  • Justinian Makes A Comeback.
  • Justinian reconquers parts of the fallen Western Empire such as Italy and Africa,also he has previous Roman Laws.

568 AD

  • Lombards Invade Italy
  • Lombards take northern Italy from the Byzantine.

  • Hercules Becomes Emperor
  • Temporary postion of Mesopotamia,empire chsnges language to Greek.

  • The Muslims Attack Constantinople.
  • A large Muslim force besiege Constantinople by land and the sea.

  • Regains control over Asia Minor.
  • Muslims form city after attacks.

726 AD

  • Byzantine emperor outlaws art and he orders destruction of existing artwork.
  • This can lead to unhappy people who disagree and turn people against him.

  • Charles advances northward and moves Islam into Europe.
