BE A GOOD DIGITAL CITIZEN

Being A Good Digital Citizen Is very Important because if you want to stay E-safe, being a good digital citizen plays a crucial role.

HOW TO BE A GOOD CITIZEN

  • Be private and don’t share personal Information.
  • Be kind online and don’t cyber-bully
  • Don’t trust anyone
  • If you find anything suspicious, without hesitation, tell a trusted Adult
  • Don’t open Untrusted files, emails etc
  • Do not post what you are doing or going (don’t over share) For example- ‘I am going to city centre today!’.

MALWARES

  • MALWARE is a word MADE FROM THE TWO WORDS ‘MALICIOUS’ AND ‘SOFTWARE
  • THERE ARE THREE TYPES
  • VIRUSES
  • Worms
  • Trojan horse
  • THESE ARE VERY DANGEROUS

VIRUSES

  • They attach to files
  • it is unable to copy unless you copy yourself
  • It deletes files

WORMS

  • It doesn’t delete anything
  • It copies without your help
  • Slows the computer down
  • It may carry a virus inside

TROJAN HORSE

  • Looks like a normal file/application
  • Carries a virus inside it
  • Passes past the antivirus
  • Then the virus emerges
