  • Single layer of tall column shaped cells.
  • They rest on the basement membrane.
  • Found in the lining of the digestive tract.

PSEUDOSTRATIFIED (CILIATED) COLUMNAR

  • Appears to be stratified but is only a single layer of cells.
  • Found in the lining of the respiratory tract.
