WHEN DID IT HAPPENED

  • April 14, 1912

HOW DID IT HAPPEN

  • A iceberg hit the side of the titanic.
  • After hitting the iceberg it allowed
  • thousands of gallons of water to flood
  • the hull of the ship

HOW LIVED AND WHO DIED

  • 900 crew members, only 215 of which survived.
  • Women had a slightly higher chance of getting into a lifeboats
  • with 24 percent surviving to 22 percent for men.
  • 2,223 passengers which only 1,517 died

WHERE DID IT HAPPEN

  • Titanic sinks into the North Atlantic Ocean
  • about 400 miles south of Newfoundland, Canada.
