PRESENTATION OUTLINE
I was like Toby, I used take my Teddy's everywhere. I loved them being around my to keep me safe & occupied, they were my best friends. I loved taking them everywhere with me and wished that they were real, I would feed them, take them in the Bath, I love my Toys.
This can related to the world because people carry things around in case they need them in the future. But sometimes people carry un useful things around. As the blurb says on the back of parachute (You Never Know When You'll Need One. This is like an addiction, carring something around for ages anywhere and everywhere. Then people grow up, and discover that they don't need these items anymore and sometimes they leave them at home just like Toby.
I loved the use of the illustrations in the book because they are so detailed and you can really imagine things with the images.
I remember I was very scared of heights, I used to hate seeing tall buildings & remember I hated seeing them wobble like jelly. I used to look up at those tall buildings, and think if I was at the top, I would get goosebumps all over me and close my eyes. I hated going up into those big buildings I would start to cry and want my Mummy.
This section in the book can related to everyone, Concurring your fears, Toby's was heights. I love how this book can related to others, all around the world. It is suitable for all ages, Big or Small, Young or Old. In the picture, the height doesn't look tall, but to Toby it does. This happens to me & others, because you think it's very hard to do something, when it's really not.
I loved the use of all the colours in the book. They weren't to bright but not to dull. I loved the way the book has spots of the dull oranges, it's a beautiful sight, there's lots of browns, which really stand out in the book.
This book reminds of anther text, the text that this reminds me of is The Giraffe who was afraid of heights, By David A Ifer. This book is about a Giraffe who is afraid of heights and that he has a friend who helps hike overcome his fears. The text can be related because their is a part in both books where the characters are afraid and are scared, these can related because they both have the same feelings and emotions at this section in the book.
I Loved the use of imagination in this book, it can related to many people because there are so many things we believe are real but aren't, there are many ways people in the world can relate to this.
I loved the use of purples in the book, there's not to many but there's not to much. it really works we'll with all the oranges and browns in the book, witch is hard to do but these colours combine very well together.
This section in the book relates to me a lot because my Teddy's for example, made me fell that I was safe, it made fell like no one or anything could hurt me, like I had a angel looking over me to keep me safe for all the bad people & things in the world.
This part in the book reminds me of when I was younger, because I would hang of my mum, with my Teddy's, my mum made me fell like we were in a whole different world, and no one could come and hurt us, my Mum, Dad and my Teddy's made me fell so safe and so special because no one else could ever have so much protection, like I did.
I love accomplishing new things that I couldn't before and when I grew out of taking my Teddy's everywhere, it made me fell like a whole new person, a could start a fresh life, and I would move on to a different item that I would love and treasure. I still have all my favourite dollies that I will always treasure and remember them because they where my best friends and one day I might give them to my children and watch them grow & treasure these toys just like I did, and hopefully when I'm old, my children will give my toys to their children.
I liked learning this project, because it really made me think about me past & I liked the way that these books can connected to mine and other peoples lives, I liked the way that this book related to my life and that the author could created a book like this were everyone in the world could read this and say that I remember when I was little I was like this.
